Keeping your horse and joining the AF

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to keep your horse and join the AF. I know that some AFBs offer boarding for horses but I didn't know if anyone could offer their experiences with this or advice. Thank you!

YES. However, you will have to pay for it yourself and find the boarding stable. Just because a base has a stable does not mean they have room. It is possible.

No, sorry, but I did know of someone who did. She took her horse to Germany and back. It's all about money.

And I'm thinking they won't buy his plane ticket...

I doubt he qualifies as household goods.

On that note, Lackland has a saddle club - quite a big one as far as I know. I bet you could call down there and ask to speak with someone with experience.
