PA reg ? regarding Restorative Nursing

Specialties Geriatric

Hi...does anyone know if PA regs allow an LPN to be a Restorative Nurse Manager? Thanks in advance for any help.

If I remember correctly, at my last job an LPN was the Restorative Nurse "Coordinator." She assessed all new Rest Nsg residents, charted, sat in on care conference, etc. We also had a Dementia Unit, and an LPN was the manager of that unit, as well. I think as long as there's an RN to handle orders, and to "oversee" :uhoh3: things, then it's okay.

Hope this helped a little!

In Pa you can have an LPN as the restorative program co-ordinator or whatever as long as you have an RN DON or ADON to sign off on the program....You have to have an RN sign off on your MDS- so restorative programs and goals are evaluated then, too

I'm just starting as a Restorative Nurse can anyone help me to be a good Restorative Nurse.
