So I am trying to get into gwinnett techs fall of 2013 class and i just wanted to start a forum for us to support each other and for info. I still have a couple pre reqs to take but im hoping to do well! Good luck everyone

Congrats on your great score, jenbrewington! I took my Kaplan this morning and did well, too. What a relief to have it done! The only thing I have to add to jen's info it to just watch your time. I didn't run short on time, but I do know people who did. Read all your questions thoroughly, take your time and consider all the answers, and watch your time. That's my best advice. Good luck to all who are still preparing to take the exam!

I took the test last week-made a 89. The math was very easy, especially since you can use a calculator. I don't think there's really any way to study for the English part. I agree that the science was very specific-much more difficult than I was expecting. It was definitely the hardest section.

Great score! I know what you mean! I was glad to be done with it. That was the 3rd entrance exam I've done this year! I don't understand why each school has to use a different test!

No kidding! Waiting is the hardest part! This will also be my third entrance exam. I took the TEAS and NLN. Have you taken the NLN, and if so, how does the Kaplan compare??

Yes, I took the NLN. I thought the Kaplan was easier than both of the others and quite a bit shorter. To me the science on the NLN and TEAS was very broad and the math was more difficult. Did you take the NLN for Athens Tech?

Yes, I took the NLN for athens tech. Yeah, the science and math were very broad on those. For Kaplan, is there much geometry or formulas we need to know or just basic math?

No geometry, just basic math.

I took mine last week, made an 84. I'm just glad it's over, not that the waiting part is more fun! It was my third entrance exam this year also.

Thanks! I had a couple of the Nursing School Entrance Exam books that have practice tests. I used them & just focused on the A&P stuff in them.
