Hello all! I am in the process of applying to Georgia Highlands Fall 2012 Nursing program. I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? I have all A's and B's in all of pre reqs, 2 Bs and an A in the sciences, which makes me nervous. I also didn't do that well on the TEAS. I got an 81, but did extremely well in the science part of it. I had an 1050 on my SAT'S from back in 2002. I did the worksheet total that they have online, and my score was an 1131. I am wondering if this is enough? But the worksheet does not include the TEAS calculation.
Any info or comments would be great! I just want to know where I stand
The second week in June cannot come fast enough then. I can't wait to find out if I got in or not. If I didn't then I will be able to focus clearly on the fact that I will be going to Chattahoochee Tech. If I did then I will have to decide fast which program I will attend. I had be accepted to GHC (the college only, not the nursing program) for Spring 2012 and was sent an email stating that I needed up update my anticipated start date to Fall 2012 in order to be considered for the program. Well, previously I had been told by the admissions department that I did not need to do this (this was in March when I went to the school with the paper in my hand). So after getting the email I did send the paper in. I kept checking the school's website and it seemed like it was taking forever for them to update it. The last time I checked my admission status it acknowledged that the form had been submitted and that my status was being reviewed. This is so frustrating b/c I don't know if it will be done in time for me to be considered for the program. Now of course the part of the website to check admission status is down for maintanance until next week. Arg!
@Jennifer: I know how you feel! I am transferring from Chattahoochee Tech also! I did all my core/ general classes there and now I am just waiting to hear from GA Highlands on whether or not I'll get in to the nursing program. GAH!
I was initially told to apply for summer, but then I had to reapply for fall semester. It does take them a little while, but I don't think having the wrong semester listed on there will affect your chances. They score off of a worksheet that has grades/SAT/TEAS info. I'm sure it will be updated in time though! Good luck to us!!!!

No I won't. That's the bad part, I am leaning towards there for that reason, and I just paid $143 for background and drug screening. Start saving up, once u get
Accepted, I guess the spending start. I forgot financial aid does not do those...lol
