Hopeful Georgia Highlands Fall 2012 RN applicant

U.S.A. Georgia

Hello all! I am in the process of applying to Georgia Highlands Fall 2012 Nursing program. I am wondering if anyone else is in the same boat? I have all A's and B's in all of pre reqs, 2 Bs and an A in the sciences, which makes me nervous. I also didn't do that well on the TEAS. I got an 81, but did extremely well in the science part of it. I had an 1050 on my SAT'S from back in 2002. I did the worksheet total that they have online, and my score was an 1131. I am wondering if this is enough? But the worksheet does not include the TEAS calculation.

Any info or comments would be great! I just want to know where I stand :uhoh3:

I took my last final last night, so all my core/general classes are done! Whew! How I have to wait to see if I get a happy letter in June! How about y'all?

It's almost time to start a countdown!!!

Specializes in Case Management, Public Health, Psych, Medsurg.

yeah I was told today that letters would be sent out 2nd week of June for GHC, but I hear they always delay beyond when they say they're going to. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long!

I'm so excited!!! It seems like this semester went by so fast, but the wait for letters is going to be so SLOW!!

I wish the days will run fast, being accepted would be a nice birthday gift, from the past yrs, I am thinking 3rd week in June.

I sure hope so!!! :) That would be an awesome birthday gift!

It's a scary time for me too because if/when I start nursing school, I'll have to quit my full time job. I won't know anything about financial aid/ loans until I get accepted, and then I'll have to do a special circumstance form to reflect my current lack of income. It's sooo stressful! Each step depends on the next! :banghead:

How about we all just set up lawn furniture next to our mailboxes and wait until the letters get here!

Soo worried about finances too. I feel like my life is on hold. Everything depends on an acceptance letter

Me too!!!!!! I keep thinking "What if I get accepted, but I can't afford to go?" :uhoh3:

In good news though- I will be transferring from Chattahoochee Tech, and I got notification today that my transcript was sent electronically, so it will be there in time for scoring! WHEW!!

Just got a letter from north georgia. Now I am confused

An acceptance letter for their program? If so,that's the time when you start considering which one is closer, which one starts at the optimal time, which one do you feel better about. You'll make the right choice!

Thank you...I was wait listed for their program. I am not close to either. Both ways I would have to move. The cost is adding up already. I paid 200 this morning as a confirmation deposit, so I guess I would go there. I can't wait for June to know what I am doing...good luck to you

For anyone that gets accepted to the Highlands program-

I just completed this program doing the LPN-RN Bridge program; if anyone would be interested in paying $20 for 2 school uniform scrub sets (size S) and lab coat (size M) with the Highlands patch on the sleeve , mine are available. I only wore them for the 1 year bridge, great condition, no stains or anything. When I bought them brand new last year along with the patches and paid for them to be sewn onto the scrubs/lab coat, the grand total was around $85 . Let me know @ [email protected]. Best of luck to all of you! It was a good program.

Thank you! I can't wait for June either, but I definitely feel for you with the moving situation! It's hard to know a letter makes that much of a difference. If you chose GHC, can you get your deposit back? That would be awful!
