GPC acceptance letters

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hey does anyone know if there is a way to find out if you have been accepted to GPC before letters are sent. I heard the status under student info changes (on the GPC website under student info). does anyone know about this? For example, when you apply it says pre-nursing under department. thanks.:icon_roll

I got my acceptance letter last April... my status did not update until August... so I think that theory is out. I know waiting is hard but I don't think there is a way to find out before the letter is recieved...and if you call the nursing office you will notice that they begin to get rude... because TONS of people are calling with the same questions;.

Good Luck

I got an acceptance letter on March 9 - it came via USPS in a fat business size white envelope....

Congrats on your acceptance...I will be graduating in May and one piece of advice that I can give you is to expect the unexpected!!!

Would you do it again at GPC? or would you go to another school in the local area...GA State, Mercer, Emory???? I've applied to those school too - just playing the waiting game....

I heard that GPC was trying to improve - their reputation was awful - especially on these boards...

Congratulations on your acceptance bouncer! I received my acceptance letter too but will more than likely decline because I also was accepted to Emory. From the beginning I made sure to take all the prereqs for Emory just in case I didn't get into GPC.

I have heard that GPC's program has greatly improved and if I ultimately didn't plan on getting my BSN anyway I probably would have gone there. I was also accepted into Mercer last year but I declined because I didn't want to take general ed and nursing classes at the same time. I believe this year you can complete the program in two years if your prereqs are done.

I don't think there is one program here in Georgia that is better than the next. If you ask around you'll get a different response from each person you ask. Emory was and has been my first choice all along but it may not be someone elses. Best of luck to you and congrats to you as well gapeach!

I am graduating from GPC in May also and it has improved drastically from previous years. The graduating class is approximately 130 students this year. And yes, I would do it again at GPC given the same circumstances; although when I consider how many credits I transferred from previous college experience, I probably could have completed my BSN in the same time (but more money).

Congratulations to all who have been accepted. Be prepared for an intense program and a lot of studying...but it is doable.

God Bless

I am abou to graduate GOC with my A.S. in business and then I am planning on going to kennesaw for my B.S. in nursing but I have heard that their R.N. program greatly improved and today I looked at the Sec. of State website to check last years NCLEX pass rates and they were in the top 3, above 90%, tied with Kennesaw and above Emory.

Good Luck!

Bouncer....congrats! I got my acceptance letter about the same time you did! Have you accepted your spot yet? I haven't sent mine in yet because I still haven't gotten that picture we are supposed to send in.

I sent mine in, I just sent in a 3 x 5 picture of me - taken shoulders and up - I wasn't about to pay $8 for a passport photo......

I know in the packet it said that we need to send in a receipt showing the payment of our confirmation fee. Did you send the payment into student accounts first and then send in the rest of your stuff to the nursing department?

I had my reply envelope stamped and ready to go - went to the students accounts office - paid the $93- they stapled the receipt to my paperwork, I put it in the envelope, sealed it and immediately mailed it.....

I want to go to the Lawville campus - and apparently there are only a limited number of spots on that campus - so I had to get my letter in ASAP - hopefully I will get accepted there!!!

Good Luck
