Emory University BSN/BSN 2nd Degree, Fall 2012 Applicants

U.S.A. Georgia

Published

Hi Everyone!

I am getting ready to apply to Emory's Fall 2012 BSN for 2nd Degree program and thought it may be helpful to start up a little forum/therapy group-ha.

If you are:

currently applying/a former applicant/a current Emory BSN student/a current BSN/MSN student, I'd love to hear from you!

Has everyone finished their pre-recs? Does anyone else have a non competitive undergrad (like me) G.P.A.? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?

I look forward to speaking with everyone...and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

Shannon

@danceluver-

From all the things I'm reading, it sounds like it is going to be even harder to get into Kennesaw! I have no idea what I am going to do if I don't get in to Emory or KSU...might need to figure it out!

@crjohnson10210---you have a great TEAS score....just need to nail the interview for KSU :) Maybe we'll see eachother there!!.....Emory is such a great program too!! Hopefully we'll both have some great choices in the end---what specialty did you apply for at Emory? I applied to their segue program as well :)

Hey @danceluver- I sent you a PM!

Got it :) Responded back

Well,

Last week, I received greeting card in a mail from Emory Nursing Administration staff wishing me Happy New Year!!!

I was surprised!!

Did anyone else receive it?

Not that it matters but I feel like I was special...))

Yes! I thought that was very nice, especially since they all signed it!

Hey! So applications are in! This is going to be a long month...

I have a question re KSU..I was informed that you have to take 4 history classes: GA hist & constitution, US hist/const. This is why I'm not applying to either KSU or GSU. Did you take these in undergrad? Or did you take them after??

@Nonnahs917-

I am not from GA so I didn't take GA hist & constitution. They reviewed my transcripts, and they told me all I had to take was American gov and american history. She said they didn't have to be completed until graduation, not before classes start. Hope this helps!

@crjohnson10210-yes, I was informed of the same thing. Good luck!

In case anyone is interested, I just phoned the admissions office and they mentioned that they should have the number of applicants by the end of the week.

If you find out, could you post it on here? I'm not sure if I want to know how many people there are!
