Does anyone know if the N1200-Professionalism in Nursing I is required for all nursing students?

I don't know. :-)

The Professionalism class is not a requirement for nursing students. It was offered and anyone who wanted to take it could. I chose not to. I was working full-time, a single mom and had more on my plate than I could handle and couldn't add anything else.

@kmp5 - Thank you for your reply. I was wondering if we had to take it or if it was an option. Do you get to choose which time you want your lab? Tumbleweed said it was from 8-12 or 12-4.

You don't get to choose which time or day you go to lab, unfortunately. They divided us up alphabetically my first year. We started with lab on Friday and 2nd semester, switched to lab on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure that I kept the same time both semesters. We started clinical in October, if I remember correctly and didn't do our med check-offs until 2nd semester. This year, the first years did their med check-offs first semester and did actual clinical where they could supposedly pass meds then but didn't start clinical as early in the semester as we did. We did tech-type stuff first semester and didn't pass meds until after we'd passed our med check-offs.

2nd year you do clinical both Monday and Friday and start as soon as the semester starts and you go to class on Wednesday, either from 8-12 or 1-5, depending on what class you're taking. Med/Surg and Psych are from 1-5 and OB and Peds are from 8-12.

Hey everyone! My name is Bethany. I was waitlisted, but recieved a call yesterday from the nursing adviser saying that a slot opened up! I have been making alternate (and complicated) plans since I received my waitlist letter in the beginning of this year and it caught me off guard! I'm very excited! :) Have any of you others heard anything? Do not lost hope - I almost did and then I heard back!

If anyone reading this has been accepted for this fall, then please let me know - I'd love to know who you are - I'll be at the Gainesville campus!

Welcome Elanessea!!!! And Congrats!!

Myself and Pbco are going to the Forsyth/Cumming Campus.

CONGRATS!!! Gainesville is where I hope to be soon!

I wonder if they are almost done with the wait list Letters since they're calling people... :(

Don't loose hope AshBrock1091, I definitely don't think they are done yet! We still have to turn our paperwork in!

Thank you so, so much! I'm very excited, and a little nervous too! :) Congrats to both you and Pbco! I know that the classes are held at the same time at all campuses, so perhaps we could all keep in touch and maybe even get together sometime to compare notes, study, etc? Best of luck to you two!!! :)

AshBrock1091 - Thank you so much! Are you still waiting to receive a letter stating if you're accepted/on the waitlist, etc, or did you receive one earlier saying you're on the waitlist? Either way, don't loose hope! :) Please let us know if you hear anything!

Same here! I'm both excited and nervous to start this journey! Study group sounds great. Are you close to the Gainesville Campus? Was it your first choice?
