I just have to say, that last final on Monday was a make it or break it moment for me. I took off from work on Friday and Monday to have 4 full days of studying - didn't shower, wore the same clothes, pretty much didn't move from my desk. I was super nervous but ended up turning it around and I passed! so I'll be getting pinned on 6/3 and have a summer internship in the ER of a local hospital as well - I'm so happy!

Don't stop working hard for it, guys - it's tough but 100% worth it!

30 years later hand I still wear my pin everyday! Congrats"

CONGRATS!!!!!!! I'll be there in 2 years, hope to get as many gratz as you :D

Congratulations!!!

thank you thank you! I know I don't know any of you personally, but I know you also understand the sacrifices of NS and I truly appreciate all the congrats! :)

my pre reqs were a breeze for me - went into the clinical program with a 3.84 GPA... I typically don't have much in the way of problems but was SHOCKED at some of these exams - as some of you know, memorization will only get you so far, and this really tested my critical thinking skills beyond expectations.

I was in a part time ASN program (aka BOOTCAMP) for the last 4 years (2 years of pre reqs, 2 years of clinicals) and even though I took my time with it, it was extremely difficult doing that for 4 years while working a full time job in finance and training/competing in sports. Because of the night/weekend schedule, we were only allowed to miss ONE class per semester.

I ended up getting into a horrible bike accident last semester and needing ORIF surgery and 2 bone grafts on my clavicle - only missed ONE class... this past semester I had a lot of marital problems (long personal story) and ended up in a very deep depression, requiring a lot of therapy and psych meds, but I pulled through and am graduating with a 3.28 (just short of graduating with honors - boo!).

Point is, I had a lot going against me and I'm so glad I'm finally moving on to get my licensure and will enroll in an RN to BSN program after my summer internship (we might relocate after this summer - still up in the air).

I've never worked so hard at completing something in my life, and the taste of accomplishing this goal is so so sweet!

best of luck to everyone, and here's to a fantastic new career I'm absolutely in love with :)

Congratulations!
