  1. Wellness coaching seems like an interesting niche to me but I'm having trouble finding insight on whether or not people are successfully making money as independent health coaches. Anyone out there working as a health coach mind sharing a bit about their job, and how much money they pull in on a monthly basis?
  2. Congrats to everyone! Starting an accelerated bsn and soo excited. Good luck to all!
  3. Since you work as a CNA and are getting medical experience outside of clinicals, you may want to just continue with your education. I think taking a break from school before moving to the next degree is probably best for people who have no experience and have never held a position in healthcare, which wouldn't apply to you.
  4. I think the NYU thread will help: https://allnurses.com/new-york-state/nyu-absn-fall-810051.html But from what I've heard, the school accepts a lot of applicants and isn't very difficult to get into.
  5. 4.0 in your first year of nursing school is super impressive. Congrats on your success!
  6. Congrats! I am beginning nursing school in the fall and am looking forward although I hear the first semester is very tough.
  7. I just recently finished micro as well. It is a tough class, but I didn't find the course as challenging as A&P. If you're pulling an A-, you should be fine for the other classes. Good luck!
  8. Fear is our greatest enemy. You have worked so hard and come so far. Stay strong and do your best!
  9. Congratulations!!!
  10. Working while doing prerequisites and going to nursing school isn't impossible. As others have said, just go to a community college and take evening classes. If you quit the IT job, you can probably find a part time gig, something flexible to keep some money flowing so that you don't go completely broke.
  11. Same to you eca! Can't wait to get started....but for now, back to studying.. :-/
  12. Wow, I guess you were right perks I got into the accelerated program!
  13. Yes i was contacted over the weekend. I was excited at first but I now realize it was just protocol.
  14. Yes, I did apply to the accelerated program
  15. I spoke to the nursing advisor today and she said that the applicant pool for the accelerated program is about the same this year as it was last year. ~200 applicants for 30 seats.
