  1. I'm so blessed that I have been able to leave my job and stay at home and focus on school, but I do have kids and a hubby( this makes me sound "old", but I'm only 23 lol). He is so supportive though. He baths them, cooks, takes them out when I study plus works a full time job. I am worried about my quality time with them. This semester I will be in class 2 days a week and clinical/lab the other 3, so I hope I have enough time with them. I hope I do well, but my program does not have the best reputation...everyone says it is tough and they are graduating about 10% of the initial group.
  2. Thanks! I'm sure our work ethic will get us pretty far. Good Luck to you, too! So, have you been reading or studying anything to prep? At our orientation things were kind of vague about that, and I'm not sure if I should study ahead or if that can make it worse...
  3. Hello! I have found this site to be so helpful for many questions that I have had, but I'm still a nervous wreck about starting nursing school. I've always been a good student (A's in a&p 1 and 2, medical micro, nurse aid class, etc) but I'm scared I will fail. My program has required we take a dosage test on day 1 and I have been studying at least an hour a day trying to master dosage, I have reviewed all my old notes, and constantly wondered if I can really do this. Classes start in mid August and I feel like I don't have enough time! Did anyone else feel like this?
  4. -Being a failure -Being in debt and not graduating -Not spending enough time with my kids -Screwing up terribly -Finding out I'm not as smart as I think I am -Being overwhelmed
  5. My school will not allow students to take both in the same semester. A&P II must be done first. Honestly, I pulled A's in both classes with 16+ hrs, so they aren't all that bad. Understanding of certain things in my A&P II class was very useful in my micro class. I had some HUGE lab reports for my micro class that literally took me hours! If you can, take them at different times so you can devote more time to each class, retain more info, and get better grades!
