Who else is starting first semester nursing in January?

I just want to say good luck to all your first quarter students! I was there just last quarter and when you get overwhelmed, sit back, regroup and jump back in. :)

I start the 10th. No orientation that I know of though....

I've got to round up a few more books and odds and ends before then. Our bookstore can't seem to get everything in at once.

I'm starting to slightly panic. I have NO idea what I'm doing. and that pile of books is looking very intimidating right now.

Oh well, I am looking forward to it. Just got to psych my self up for it.

Me too...start nursing classes on the 24th and clinicals on 2/4. Have to still get my books as we have 8 chapters to read by class start:crying2: ! We had our orientation last month, scheduled our CPR class, got our titers in, etc. I'm waiting on my grant $ to be released for book credits so I can go to the bookstore and get my uniforms. I will be starting my BSN program this month. We have orientation Jan.4th-6th...ALL DAY. We start classes on Jan. 10th, and clinicals start Feb. 22nd. I am really, really, really nervous now. I get on this website like 5x's a day just to look at the same stuff about stethescopes, supplies, books, etc. I feel like I am obsessing over this stuff. I have a degree in PSYC and worked in Human Resources before I was called to do this. Now I am starting to think about it... :uhoh3: , but I know I am just scared. I am making a total career shift and I feel a little nervous about that, BUT I am so ready to get started and I KNOW this is what I am meant to do. My program is 5 semesters, so I graduate Spring 2007! Good luck to everyone and I hope we have time to stay in touch during this first semester!

I have orientation on the 13th and then I start class the 18th. I am really starting to get nervous. I have been watching the Discovery Health channel for over a year now because I like to watch and also to sort of prepare me. But the last couple of nights I have laid in there watching the nurses on the program wondering...can I really do that? Will I freak out if I see that? Tons of questions and wondering if I am doing the right thing! But I am going to try anyways because I have heard of the jitters so hopefully they will pass!

I'm starting the first semester of a BSN program on the 18th. Orientation and such is the 13th and 14th. I'm nervous cause most everyone already had bachelor's degrees.. and then there's me! [and a few other 20 somethings]

Orientation on the 7th, classes start on the 10th. I have to wade through the usual financial aid BS before I can charge my textbooks to my account on thursday so I will have books for class on monday. Gotta love the stress before the semester actually begins...

I am starting on the 7th. I found kind of odd to be starting on a Friday, but oh well!! I'm sooo excited, nervous, and scared! Now that I'm here, I'm starting to wonder if I can really do it. Wish me luck guys! :rolleyes:

I was supposed to start the LPN program today, Jan. 5th, but we had an ice storm last night, and classes were cancelled! I was so nervous about going the first day, now I will have to wait till tomorrow - IF we have it.
