Hello There!!

I would greatly appreciate anyone willing to share information on experiences with wheeled backpacks/messenger bags for nursing school. Brands, models, quality, cost, etc.

Thanks Much! :typing

I've heard really good things about Jansport. I'm wondering if they can be taken off the wheels and thrown in the washer, though?

um, i dont' know the brand of mine (and I'm too lazy to get up lol!) but it has been very helpful. You have about 4-7 books, some very hefty, that you carry around with you. The wheels definitely save your back. I got mine at wal mart for under 30 bucks...

Specializes in NICU, Level IV.

I have the rolling backpack from L.L. Bean. A little hefty at $79 but it is very sturdy. It isn't as roomy as the JanSport rolling backpacks, but the great thing is that L.L. Bean fully guarantees all of their products. If 5 years down the line it breaks, they will replace it free of charge.

JanSport does the same.

Specializes in ALS, LTC, Home Health.

Here is what I am going to be using. A tad pricey but the cool factor for me outweighs that. Plus you can't beat the light up wheels.

Mine is CalPro and the size of a small suitcase. We have no need to bring our books to class, but we have 4-5 hour holes between classes some days and I like to bring a couple of things to study. Parking is often far away, and it's usually really hot or raining in Florida so I just bring it all with me. I got it on Amazon after reading a bunch of reviews, and I think I paid $50 or less.

I went through 3 rolling back packs within 1 1/2 years... Then I got a Samsonite and it has lasted over 4 years now and still going good. Not a single problem with it. I am able to pack a lot of stuff in it, including my laptop.

I highly recommend it.

This is very cool,;) my only complaint about my rolling backpack is it is so wide I can't get between seats in our classrooms with it! I quit using it after the first three days, yours looks like it is a much better width and I love that you can sit on it!:lol2:
