What are you doing during the break?

I have nearly a month off of school and after a crazy semester, I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself! So far I've got:

- work (whenever I can get hours)

- study 20-30 NCLEX review questions a day

- make a spreadsheet of local externships

- make a spreadsheet of recruiters for local hospitals (I have no idea where to find this information!) and any events they may have coming up

- read one whole non nursing book cover to cover

- volunteer

Anyone else have a long break? What do you have planned? I'm spinning my wheels here!

For anyone looking for a great series to devour in a small amount of time:

1. Firefly. It's one season with a 2 hour movie. Shame it was taken off the air, but you can watch it on netflix for free.

2. The Tudors. It's on netflix. Love it.

3. If you like the Tudors, then don't skimp. Buy and watch Game of Thrones. Consider it a gift for getting past whatever semester you completed this past fall. It's a gift. Enjoy it.

Books: I've got the books!

1. River God by Wilbur Smith. I read this when I was in 5th grade, and I've read it about 20 times after that glorious first time. It was the first book I had to buy from the library because I simply refused to take it back. Worth the money, amazing book.

2. Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden. Again, a book I've read about 20 times.

3. Anything by Michael Crichton. I highly suggest Jurassic Park. I don't care if you've watched the movie, you've no idea the amazing storytelling of Crichton until you read the book. Congo is great as well.

Add on to this list! Let's enjoy our time off!

I have been sleeping, cleaning, and watching TV. Also reviewing for my last semester and NCLEX. I am not as worried about NCLEX as I probably should be but our school has been doing really good with 100% passing the first time. I just want to relax lol. I am just glad this is the last semester!!!!

Off until mid-January and I'm enjoying that sweet, sweet free time while I can. I work around 20 hours a week but other that that it's been all about sleep, video games, cooking elaborate meals that take hours to prepare, and cocktails with friends. Many cocktails. Good times!
