thank you notes?

Its ok to give the nurse I was with for clinicals a thank you note, right? I know people are uptight about some things, I wouldnt want to do something totally inappropriate by thanking a nurse. I just never know anymore after reading some stuff around here.

While I'm still working on my prerequisites, I hope to remember to be nice enough to give out signed thank you notes during clinicals and what not. Yes, I think it is a good and thoughtful idea.

I dont know sometimes what I think is appropriate gets people a stern typing to in this forun :) I see new naive nurses get new ones handed to them for something they had no clue about so I didnt know if this would be one of those times. Thanks though!

I always enjoyed getting a thank you note from students. They made me feel like I really made a difference. We would get one from the entire class, but it's nice to get a personal one if a special bond developed. Send away!!!!!

I am a scrub in the OR and the nurse that I work with everyday has been training a new employee. When she was done with her orientation with my nurse, she wrote both of us individual thank you notes. It made my day! It is nice to hear thank you every now and again in a world where we too often are in,y told what we are doing wrong. Plus, the nurse can have a copy of it out in her file at work. I say go for it!!

I like to receive 'thank-you' notes... especially when they include a Starbucks card :-)

Or in my favorite case, a pneumatic framing nailer!!
