TEAS Q

there were no chemistry questions that involved on the teas I took a year ago. It was all basic stuff that you should know after taking the pre-requisites.

my key to taking the teas was to go through and answer what I knew for certain, and then go back and answer the other stuff I was not sure of. this way, you answer more questions correctly, and don't run out of time.

I had a few chemisty questions, but I dont think there was a periodic table given (computer test). It was pretty much the easy elements: C, Na, Cl, O, H, F, He.

There were several chemistry questions on my version, and no periodic table provided. It even asked about specific elements, about which I had no knowledge, lol! My best advice is to study the ATI study guide + one other source for the science portion. I used the Kaplan book + someone one here recommended the chem4kids.com as a rewiew too.

I have the ATI book, and the McGraw Hill book. They have both been helpful. I took the 1st practice test last night on the ATI site and got an 85%. The chemistry Q's had a periodic table as a reference, so I do not feel the need to memorize anything there. I do need to review the science material the most though, as it was my lowest score by far.

Took the test today, and got an overall score of 88.2 (90% on science, and 87.6% on math), which puts me at the 97th percentile nationally. I was surprised I did so poorly on the English portion, but am happy with the overall results. For any questions requiring periodic table information, a table was provided.
