Okay, is it me or are those vocab words, words no one has ever really seen? Any tips on how to get past that and get to know those words? I saw those words in the study guide and my mouth dropped..What am I supposed to do, read the dictionary? Any other tips on how to prepare??? I feel like being a nurse is never gonna happen. Also retaining information..somethings have just dropped out of my brain.

The NLN was easy. Way easier than the tests given in school. I scored in the 98th percentile and I didn't study for it. I even know someone who was in the 99th percentile.
I wouldn't stress about it.

I made up a list of all the vocal words in the book and studied off of that. Some were on the NLN. Others you just have to see if you can figure it out from the sentences they give you.
NLN science is mainly basic bio. Math has some geometry. Continue to go over the book everyday. Good luck!

Make flashcards. Basic medical terminology doesn't even begin to touch the terminology you have to learn in nursing classes.

I really don't think there is any way to study for the NLN except for the math. Brush up on your math skills and your test-taking skills in general.
