I am sitting here at 5am trying to wrap up some scholarships so that I can get them in the mail. Am I banging my head against the wall or are there really people out there that do receive these funds?? Are there any scholarships that are really worth applying for?? Any info is appreciated...

I don't know for sure, but it can't hurt to try, can it? Let us know if any come through for you. :)

Our school has over 50 scholarships, and I've won 10!! Are these through your school or someplace like fastweb? I don't think a lot of people apply for school ones b/c of the time involved or they get other financial aid...worth a shot!

BTW, good luck!

But forget about it if you're a part-time student...at least that's what I've found; maybe some of you have had better luck.

Lynda,

Check with your school's foundation and fastweb...they have some good scholarships. It really is amazing how many scholarships there are and how many go unclaimed. Apply for more than just nursing scholarships, they also have scholarships for adults that are returning to college, etc. I bet you that you will get a scholarship...

Most of our scholarships are for 6 credits or more....I only found two of the 50 that required 12 or more....:)

I figure, it can't hurt to try. I also look at it that if I receive 1, it was worth the effort. I guess we will see. Best wishes to you. Let's make it a point to post if we get any!

Way to go Kristy!! Congrats on your 10!! I hope I do that well.

Thank you so much for letting me know that I am not wasting my time. I put so much effort into getting them polished. I realize that I may not get anything but I sure hope so... They do have scholarships through my school but they do not post them until January. I will get the packet as soon as they put it out... I will update you guys if I get anything... You do the same.. Good Luck to you all as well..

Thanks again,

Lynda

Another great place to check is the hospital that you feel you want to work at when you graduate. Most make it a scholarship/loan so if you don't want to work there, you can pay them back like a loan.
