Pageburst?

The nursing books we are required to have are available on pageburst which apparently allows you to download the book content to your laptop. Does anyone know how expensive this is? Are there less expensive alternatives? I've looked up the required texts elsewhere and I can get them all in text form for under $500.

Personally, I got as many of the books as I could used for cheap (ask the class ahead of you), AND got most of the pageburst books. They are like half the cost of the new version of the paper book.

Pageburst is AWESOME. It probably saved me dozens of hours of flipping to the index of the book and back. Searchable books rule. You can even search all you books at once from the home page. Pro-tip: Make sure the search for synonyms separately ie. coumadin and warfarin.

I found pageburst was great for quick reference, but the paper book was still needed, because if I'm going to read a whole chapter, I can't stare at a computer screen for 3-4 hours without serious eye fatigue.

Also I will make a recommendation. Check out Bigwords.com. It is a compilation of all the used and new online bookstores and shows you the absolute cheapest price of all the stores by looking up your ISBN. I bought about $600 worth of books for $140 for my fall semester and they have access codes with an e-copy of the book. I love that I can use the e-book on either my desktop ( where I do most of my at home studying) and my laptop ( where I do everything else).

So why would a nursing school require you to get the electronic versions? Because I really don't want to...
