Orientation..............

Nursing Students General Students

Published

Hello everyone!

Had orientation today for the fall ADN program. I am now so excited it's really starting to seem real. Just wondering what some other nursing students uniforms look like? Ours are Navy Blue cargo style pants with a white polo shirt, and a Navy Labcoat. I like regular scrub tops better, but we have to wear the Polo Shirt. How about all of you?

Whites of our choice (if we opt for skirts, they have to be knee length or longer), white hose/socks, all white shoes (no clogs).

For the ladies: a blue/white pinstriped pinafore/cobbler's apron with 3 large pockets, for that wonderful Candy Striper look. (Could be worse, at least it isn't pink!).

For the gents: a blue/white pinstriped shirt that zips up, and has 2 large pockets.

Some of those uniforms sound terrible gang!! I quess I lucked out. Mine is white pants with a seam down the front. yuk.. Dark hunter green scrub top with two bottom pockets. White lab coat. We can wear sneakers as long as they don't have a big logo.

We have all white uniforms, lab coat and shoes with a huge ugly patch letting the world know that we are students. We only get two sets.

The navy blue does sound nice.

Polyester?????? Aaaaccckkkk.....now I'm feeling good about our all white cotton uniforms! :)

All white...scrub top, pants, and jacket. Shoes have to be 90% white as well. If I don't get a tan soon, people will wonder where I've gone! :chuckle

We get to buy them on our own from a uniform store, Walmart, or where ever else we can get our grubby little hands on them.
