We just started IV Therapy and our instructors didn't pick a book for us to order. While this is saving us some much needed $$ we have to work out of one small section in our Fundamentals and Med Surge books, there is no math problems or help in learning how to figure all the things we're needing to know for our test. When we ask for any additional help re: the math and wanting to work on our own we were told there was none, soooo I'm wondering if anyone here has taken this already and can recommend a workbook type book I can buy myself. I've already gone to Barnes and Noble and checked there, but before I order anything does anyone here have prior experience with a certain one? Thanks for your help.

Sandy,
I highly recommend DOSAGE CALCULATIONS by Gloria D. Pickar
We are going to use this book in my fundenetals class in the Fall. I bought the 5th. edition . it came w/a cd and had very little writing in it. I pd. 12.99 + 3.99 S&H. It has 2 chapters on IV's. I found it at B&H. l Looked under Pickar author search. They had a link to used copies of her books!
Hope this helps!

Math for Meds by Curren and Munday is good. We have a IV math test when we return in the fall and I find this book comprehensive and easy to understand.
I just took a nursing math class and we used Math for Meds the 7th edition, but the 4th edition have more stuff. I checked the 4th edition out at the library.
