Need Help fast!!

I personally try to avoid summer classes...1. Because I like the break. 2. Summer classes are more work because you have the same amount of material in a shorter time frame. (I took anatomy two in the summer and there was a test on new material every week) 3. I did not want to be in studying when it was nice out.

I guess there are good reasons to take summer classes, I did to get all my pre recs in before nursing classes started...

Just look at all the facts and decide what is best for you...you will be doing the work. Will your kids schedules be hectic in the summer? Do you like doing homework all year long? Good luck in your decision.

Do any of the above mentioned coorifices require manditory completion prior to entry into the nursing program you plan to enter?

For me, algebra was the most difficult course I encountered while in college. I took it as a summer coorifice prior to entry into a BSN program.

Have you considered CLEP SERVICES as a possibility for obtaining credit for the humanities and human development courses? I decided to try taking CLEPs for three course requirements: algebra, world history II, and philosophy. The cost was several hours of study preparation and $45 for each coorifice. I passed two of the three thus saving myself a considerable amount of time and money. As an older student, you have probably accumulated a great deal of knowledge outside the classroom.

Raising four children would probably earn you at least a B in Human Development without ever opening a book.

I always went full time in the summer. Was hard but worth it. I took as many as I could usually 12 to 15 hours. I got alot done quickly. You have alot of kids like I did. Think carefully as it was ALOT OF HOMEWORK. LOL.

Thank you all for your input. I have decided to take the algebra this term and just give it a shot. Now if I could just get the online regestration to work for my school whould be great. Oh well maybe tomorrow. Happy New YEar Everyone!!

I just wanted to post and let you know that you don't really use much of those two classes, or any of the other sciences, in nursing classes.

Once you get through these core science classes the concentration will be on psychology/sociology for most of the curicculum through the masters level.

I found that the students that I tutored through Microbiology and A&P breezed through psych and were "A" students in nursing classes.

If you were concerned that this might reflect future proficiency in nursing..............not to worry;)

I am 32 married, work full-time and a mother of 2. I took 3 classes, psych102 eng102 and AP1 in one semester. I pulled off 2 A's and a C in AP1. The community college I go to puts more weight on your sciences in order to be accepted into their program. I'm not sure what the case is where you go to school. I have a 3.1 GPA and wasn't accepted- I'm retaking my AP2 (which I took over the summer of 2002 -2 nights a week 520p-1020p and got a C)- to get an A and raise my GPA to 3.45. For the Fall of 2003 I'm applying to more than 1 college! I would recommend you take only 1 course over the summer - so as not to hurt your GPA!
