Yesterday we received our grades on test #2....It covered 2 chapters....Chemistry Level and The Cell.....she said the tests were very bad...except for a few. The highest grade was 100, 90. and a 87 (that was my grade :D ) Everyone else got a 72 and below....... So she decided not to give us a test on Chapters 4 adn 5. Which cover Tissues and Integumentary. I think this is totally unfair. What about the people who are getting good grades. I want to be tested on this material to ensure that I know what I am doing. Our next test is going to be on "Bones". We are going to have a lecture exam and a lab exam. This just really pisses me off. I don't like for professors to give us a break....I want to be pushed to the limit....lol...am I going to regret saying that once I get into the nurses program...lol

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. I have a 4.0 and have faced this same frustration since I began a year ago. I have been ready AND BORED to go on and learn more.

What frustrates me most is: the majority that aren't doing so well are the ones who are constantly asking what the assignments are, asking for supplies (paper, pencil), or asking for my notes because they layed out when they had a headache or it was too cold to come to school.

Good luck!

Jeesh!!! The professor actually decided NOT to test the class because they were doing so poorly on the exams?????

That's the first time I've ever heard of that. Usually teachers give more exams or pop quizes when students do poorly. What's the point in even going to class if you are not going to get tested on the material? I hope this material doesn't reappear on the final.

Good Luck!

I agree with you. I got 100 on my first test(fluke) but today i got back results from cell, tissue, protiensynthesis. Got an 87 and I was REAL happy with that. But have you ever noticed, the people who draw pictures or sleep through class or just dont bother to show up are the ones who grab their head and cry in disbelief when they see that $$ in big red numbers.

Specializes in critical care.

at least your prof. cares about the majority of the class. my A&P prof. lectured over chemistry and wierd stuff that wasn't on our tests. I don't know why I even went to class.

oopps! that $$ should read 44! I have just demonstrated why keyboarding is required at my school. Sorry!

Specializes in Med/Surg, Ortho.

I think i would approach the instructor,, most grades are determined by number earned out of a possible total.. If she doesnt let you test, you need to find out what she is doing with the grade total. What will it do to your score at the end of the semester when others have a chance to score 76 or more points beyond what you have earned. How much is she actually giving you for the score you arent testing on?

Something to think about.

that is the first time I have ever heard of an A&P professor giving anyone a break:)
