I am trying to find a Medical Surgical study guide for my book at a cheaper cost. It is Medical Surgical Nursing by Sharon Mantik Lewis, 6th edition. I keep finding it on ebay, but i always get outbided at an outrageous cost. Has anyone used this book and is willing to sell it? let me know.

Thanks

have you tried amazon.com? They have a great selection of used/new books for good prices. I just got my books for this semester at more than half off, and mine were new, just the package was damaged. HTH. :)

I let you in on my secret! go to http://www.gettextbooks.com, find the ISBN number and enter it...hit enter and the site will tell list alll the sites (except ebay) and the prices! Half.com is part of ebay but its just for books, dvds, cds..etc..and there is no bidding...its sooo much more simple..i usually find my texts soo much cheaper online. If you use the gettextbooks site it will list the lowest price from all the sites like Half.com, amazon.com, barnesandnobles.com, bookbyte.com, etc...just click and buy..no bidding! Maybe its just me but I HATE ebay...the bidding just stinks IMO...it seems like whenever I bid the item that I want sells for what I could buy it for brand new in the store!

I bought mine online too but what I got in the mail was an empty box!! I was desperate to get my books (my classes start Tue 8/23) so on Friday the mail carrier left a box on my porch, hubby is in back yard & hears her stop, goes to mail box & notices a box on the porch.....picks it up & there is nothing in it & it has been opened! I have called post office they said these things happen, boxes break open all the time & we will look for them!! The online bookstore is closed til Monday.....so if you get them online make sure they are insured! I am not sure if mine are or not. I have just lost several hundred dollars (I bought them online to save money) & I still don't have any books.

I use http://www.bigwords.com it does the same thing, factors in all coupons, codes, shipping deals, etc

wow that stinks!!!! I am lucky enough to have never had an experience like that! I buy and sell books on half.com (not sure where you got yours) so I know that it is the seller that must insure the book. On ebay I think it is different, I think that the buyer has an option to buy insurance..but not on half.com...If something like that were to happen to a person that I sold a book too, they must first contact me. All reputable sellers should track and insure their items....if they dont insure it shouldnt effect you. If one of my packages arrived empty the buyer would contact me and since i track all of my items and insure them, i would contact the post office to make sure that the buyer actaully received the item...then if they did and it was empty i would tell the post office and they would reimburse me and then I would reimburse the buyer..IF for some reason the seller WONT reimburse you, you contact half.com (really ebay) and they will take the funds from the sellers acct..but that is ONLY after you have contacted the seller and they refuse to refund...buyers can also dispute the charge with their credit card. Sorry you had such a bad experience!!!!! Good Luck!

oh also on half.com its good to check out the sellers feedback comments...other buyers may have left some feedback that would warrent you not to buy from that seller!

I am done with my Lewis Med Surg Study guide, pmail me. I am currently selling my books on ebay and I am surprised at how much they sell for. I did not list my Lewis SG, so if you are still looking for one let me know.

Thanks.. I bought mine from ecampus.com & I will not be able to talk to anyone until Monday. It is a big outfit so surely they insure their stuff, I did use my Visa debit card so even if they don't maybe I can get some help there. What really gets me is the mail lady delivered this big box & said she did not notice it had been opened (so no documentation by the post office) only that it was extremely light for a big box!!! Gosh anyone should have noticed w/the weight it had nothing in it.The tape seal was broken but the lid of the box was tucked in & all it had in it was a piece of crumpled brown paper & an invoice adheared to the inside of the box.Maybe the books were never packed & it was shipped by accident, I just don't know.I am just hoping it all works out & fast.

i had bought my textbook for this study guide i need through half.com back on july 20th, and I still haven't recieved the book and the seller won't return my emails. I'm really frusterated with half right now. any suggestions on what I should do? I have paid for it already and my classes start sept. 6th, so I may have to just buy another one. but now I"m scared to use half!

I would contact half.com about it, sounds like a deadbeat seller. I paid $99 for my Lewis Med Surg textbook new, I can't imagine having to buy it again, good luck.
