Hey, so I made the decision to leave nursing school. My reason is that because I struggle with basic care, unlike most students. In addition, I have difficulty understanding the pieces together of patient care. Also, I don't think this is something I can do for my whole life. Every time for clinical, I always feel anxious and dread going. I am 21 years old and feel like crap. I have not succeeded in life. Its because I am not cut out for nursing and that I have lost interest completely. I feel like I am a failure. So go ahead and talk bad about me.

The bad thing I have to say about you is that I think you gave up too soon. You described nothing that almost all students don't deal with in the beginning. It is too bad that you did not have someone to talk to so that this might have been prevented. At least keep your mind open to the possibility of returning in the future. Get a CNA certificate. Learn how to manage CNA duties in a job situation and you will find yourself better prepared to handle nursing school. Or, you will solidify your decision to find another line of work. Best wishes.
I cannot stand the duties of CNA as well. even my one friend said that this is probably not for me too
Well then, good luck with your future endeavors.
thank you

You're very young and have plenty of time to figure things out. If you don't succeed at nursing, you will succeed at something else.

You're not a failure. Say that out loud: "I am not a failure." You might think you are, but you're wrong.
It's never too late to start over. It's never too late to do what you want to do. Just recognize that this isn't for you and change directions.
Good luck.

Yeah, Pokomon, I can understand you feeling like a failure, but I also see you as a success. You tried nursing school and found that nursing is not your cup of tea. That's okay. There are a lot of nurses out there that didn't make the decision you are making and are miserable. And they pass their misery on to others.
So, hey Pokoman, this gig didn't work out so you'll have to find another.
Joseph Campbell encouraged us to follow our bliss. Find an area which interests you and gives back to you as much as you give to it. That's what fulfillment is all about.
Good luck, Pokoman, and the very best to you!

We respect your decision, but you are NOT a failure. Nursing wasn't for you. Big deal.
So many different careers out there.
