Last day of clinical for the semester

Today was my last day of clinical for the semester and I am sooo glad! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.

Nothing to do now but wait until I get my evaluation from the instructor.

We went to lunch after clinical and it was really nice! We bought the teacher a gift and paid for her meal.

Do any of you celebrate as a class or group?? What do you do, or have planned??

several of us lucked out and had the same clinical instructor and we loved her. the first quarter we didn't get her anything but we all had lunch after clinical each week.

the second quarter, we continued our lunch tradition but the group all pitched in a got her a new leather brief case and took her to lunch.

the third quarter (our last with her :o ), we took her to lunch and bought her 100 red ink pens because we swore that she used at least that much on us and we didn't want to deprive the next incoming class. :chuckle

our 4th quarter, our instructor was great but she wasn't a social type person so we didn't do much with her but the group hung together for our lunches.

this past quarter, we had yet another great clinical instructor and we took her to lunch and bought a couple of her favorite collector's type gifts.

and congrats! the quarter's over! :)

Tomorrow is our last clinical day! I wish I would have seen this post ewarlier, I would have ran out & bought our instructor some red ink pens too! We are going to dinner tomorrow night, after clinical (unless it snows!!!). :)

We have one more clinical day. Whew, I am SO looking forward to this semester being done. This weeks clinicals were awful--my patient was just not in good shape and was very time demanding.

We bought "relaxation gifts" for our instructor. Lotions, scented candles, etc. We really lucked out and got and extraordinary person as a clinical instructor. Then we all went out to eat together.:)
