Stay on top of the readings and homework. Set an appropriate amount of inflexible studying time, and stick to it. If you have questions, look for the answer first and, if you still can't find it, ask your professor.

I agree with stay on top of all assignments &/or readings. Definitely set a study schedule and enjoy the busy ride ahead of you.

Dang! Most schools I know will allow you to fail 2 classes. Not that you want to fail a class, it sucks, I would know lol But I don't think there's much you can do before you start...just wait. And stay on top of stuff, if you don't understand something, ask! If you do poorly on a test, go talk to the teacher to figure out how to do better! Figure out how you learn best because they throw a lot of information at you fast. And always do practice questions!!

And always remember, "C's get degrees." :)

What should I review prior?? I'll have an extra month before I start, is there any A&P I should be reviewing that will help?

Reviewing everything in a&p was important in my first semester. For me especially respiratory (diseases, breath sounds), cardiac (the flow of blood, diseases, heart sounds and what causes them, murmurs), and neurology (learn the cranial nerves, review what each part of the brain is for).

Congrats! I start in January and I feel the same way. My orientation isn't until 3 days before school starts so I have no clue what to expect.

Thanks I start in January as well, we've had orientation but it's more of what to get ahead of time (books,uniforms) and to go over the rules. Not any prep work we can do!

I will review all of that considering we never touched the cranial nerves!! Thank you

If it's been a while, review A&P, but mostly pathophysiology. BUT DO THIS MINIMALLY! Enjoy your free time now while you still have some! I wish that I would have enjoyed my time before classes started more. Congratulations and enjoy this victory!
