I am looking for more of you that have chosen to get your RN degree using direct in home study with Excelsior...I just started and wondered if anyone else has had success using these programs?

Not RN degree but I got my BS and am almost done with my MS using distance education. I love it.

I haven't tried it yet, but it's a great option, so many degrees available.

I started Excelsior a few months ago, still doing pre-reqs. There's another thread here somewhere about people who completed the program. And I know there are others doing long distance online programs through Rue, Deaconness, etc. Maybe we could get a support group going--but I'm not sure how. Opalm--are you still out there? I remember you mentioned trying to do this a few months ago.

Yes, I,m still here (not 24/7) but I'm on everyday.

I think there actually is a thread for distance ed folks. Let me check and I'll get back to you.

I do independant study through highschool, and I'm graduating a year and a half early. I'm going to do distance learning for nursing school as well. I do have to be in class 3 days a week for the nursing school.
