Ive done some searching online but not having any luck with this:

Pharmacology project i was assigned is on the different types and/or brands of insullin. I have to list the brand name(s), if it came form an animal, or created, etc. On every single brand or type of insulin there is. My drug book lists 2 (Saunders) and that's it. I'm trying to find site(s) that list all the insulins in a non-MD format, so i can remotely understnd them. Drug book format would be great.

And ALSO, IV therapy class project, i need to list and describe 1,000 ml IV solutions, and what they are used for, and i really couldn't find anything that actually described why a solution would be used (ex. LR is used on a post-op pt. but there wasn't a rationale for it).

I'd appreciate ANY help. These projects are not due until January, but hey, i want plenty of time to learn, understand, and get that good grade :D

Here's a couple of links that look informative regarding the Insulin ... hope they help. Good for you for being so organized and getting an early start on your project!

I just did a search on Google to find them - typed in "different types of insulin" and a bunch of stuff came up. Have fun!

Here's a link for you it is pretty easy to read. http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/d_0n_110.htm My son has type 1 diabetes so I know quite a bit about insulin. This site has a lot of info on type 1 diabetes as well if you want to check out the main page on it and look around.

I am working on finding a site that lists the different IV solutions and their uses...ie isotonic, hypo/hypertonic.

Will post the link when I find it.
