I was reinstated for financial aid!!!!

I am sooooo happy...I can't contain myself!!!! I was currently reinstated for fa after making 6 consecutive payments for my defaulted loan. I am so relieved...paying out of my pocket is very hard. I'm only taking A &P 2 this semester...but for the spring semester I wanted to take Micro and Pharmacology...and maybe something else until I start my nursing program in the Fall. Well, just wanted to tell someone my good news.

Call the Dept. Of Ed. and see if they have the app. Find out what is going on. NEVER just wait for a response. It could have been misplaced. When did you file FAFSA?

Also call or stop by your FA office on campus. They may have lost it too.

I learned something this semester. If you fill out a FASA, they will send you a card with a pin number, you can go online to see if you where denied. FASA is mostly for grants....but, it is a pre req for loans, which need to be filled out seperatly. FASA dosn't always make it real clear that you where denied grants, and they don't automatically apply for your loans. Call your FA department and ask to fill out loans (if you want them) Also, I think you have to be over 6 credit hours, which I'm sure you are.

Good luck, you have to keep up on them, they won't go out of their way for you:D

Yeah Fatima! I was just thinking of you yesterday and didn't get a chance to pm you to see how you were. I am so glad that you are getting financial aid now. It must be a huge relief.
