I was wondering how much books cost for the first semester. I know they are going to be exspensive but how exspensive... . And do you get to use them again later down the line? Just wondering....Sept. will be here before we know it!!

Fatima

$800 for my first semester books.

$75 for 2nd semester, and we will use some from first semester, thank goodness. :)

I can already tell that even those books I hate (nutrition, psycology) will come in handy down the line when it's time to write papers and such.

Around $500 first semester then spent an additional $100 this semester. We will use most of them throughout the program.

About $500 for first semester, then maybe $200 for the next. This semester we didn't get any new books, but the next two will both be about $200 for books...and there are additional uniform costs also.

A little over $800 for first semester

a few bucks shy of $700 for the first semester textbooks. MUCH less in later quarters but i did buy several reference/care plan books that ran me approx. $200 also.

First semester - around $800. We use those books plus two for second semester - second semester only cost around $80-100, thank goodness!

Approximately $600. If I would have purchased all used, I could have brought it down to around $450.

Second semester was around $300.

I think it was about $500 not including scrubs, stethoscope, shoes, etc

First semester was $1200 not counting uniform, shoes, bandage scissors, scope...

I've spent about $500 just for books. Would have been cheaper if I had gotten them online instead of from the campus bookstore.

Specializes in Operating Room (and a bit of med/surg).

I think mine were around $800CDN for 1st term. Since then it's been about $100-200CND per term.
