How did you get through clinical rotations that you had no interest in?

With so many different specialties, do you really HAVE to enjoy and excel at every rotation to be a good nurse? OB has about driven me bonkers:uhoh3:

I don't love OB either. I jump at every opportunity that comes up though, just to get the experience - removing staples, removing IV's, etc. They're not huge skills, but it's better than being bored. I also try to brush up on my assessment skills while I'm there, and I take my findings and look back at what's been going on with the patient just for something to do. Make the best of it, and move on.
