Hello Everyone From Wisconsin!!

Nursing Students General Students

Hi. Well, I have alot of questions!!!! But, first introductions! ;) I am from Wisconsin, I am trying very hard to get into the "core" program of Nursing. I am currently taking my generals at a Tech School.

The one thing that is stopping me from getting into the "core" is the NLN-PAX exam..... can anyone please tell me how I can pass this exam? I am 32 years old, so I have been out of HS for quite a few years, so if there are things that I can get besides the NLN practice book, please let me know.

I would like to know what the test is like, what specifically is on there I guess, so I can kind of study those main points. Like one gal said, I found a post way back in 2001 also, so something updated would be wonderful to hear!!! ;)

Thanks for all inquiries!!

Good luck. Welcome! I'm going to move your question to the student forum where you might get more answers. Sorry I can't help you as I never had to take that exam.

I am from Wisconsin as well, but didn't have to take that exam, so I can't help you out there. What school are you applying to?

Hi Wisconsin neighbor!.... Hello to you, From Iowa :) Sorry, the only entrance exam I took was the COMPASS, and it was a piece of cake.

I just took the NLN and was accepted into the nursing program. All I can tell you is that a lot of it is common sense stuff. I think if you have done your pre req's recently and you have got your mind working again you will do fine. I am a 38 year old woman who recently returned to college. If i can do so can you. Don't stress too much that clouds your mind. RELAX
