Group studying

Hey all, I'm gearing up for summer classes, the first in my BSN program and wanted some input on group studying techniques! I'v had little experience studying with others on a regular basis, but I've heard and tend to agree that studying in groups is more beneficial. What do ya'll think or what have you learned from your experiences? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

Like a few of the others, I found that I don't do well in a group setting either b/c we end up gabbing. And I'm quite the gabber. :) I study on my own and then have my hubby or live in brother in law quiz me... :)

Hi, You know what I prefer to study on my own also. If I do get into a study group it is very small. I like to be alone right before the test without everyone talking all at once and asking ?? all at once.. I have noticed the program that Im in people tend to fool around alot.. I think I will start a new thread with that subject

i started doing the same thing! it gets to be too much of a distraction and interfers with one's own thoughts.

i usually wait outside or in another room a few minutes before the test begins.
