Hi, I am looking for suggestions on what to get my mom for graduation. I know its my graduation, but I have moved myself and my kids into her basement so that I could get through school. She has helped me with the kids like you wouldnt believe, from laundry to school, to baths, to sports to dinner...and on and on. I never would have done this with out her. She is just always there plugging away. :saint: I always tell her I appreciate it, but thought that on my graduation day would be a good time for a gift for her. She will be publicly thanked at my pinning, but want to do more.....Although... I am kinda broke(ish), I would love to do a trip or something but thats outta the question, unless it can go on my JC Penny card. :lol2: Any ideas??

I think it will be very meaningful to her to pin you. I'm sure she'll be so touched.

Maybe you could get her a sterling locket with a picture of you and her together in it, and get it inscribed with a special thank-you, and love to her.

I wish I could, but we are only allowed to have an RN pin us, which she is not. What a great idea though. Thanks.

What about a simple card where you right to her all the things that you want to thank her for and tell her what her help has meant to you.

As a mom I know I'd rather get that than any gift. :heartbeat

I agree. Have the kids help by making cards, writing notes if they're old enough, or drawing pictures.

Then, as you get back on your feet, maybe you can do something else special for her.

I agree..make cards. THen plan something for when you can afford it..which you WILL be able to soon b/c you'll be done with school!

(my mom and I just went on a little vacation together- I finished school last May)
