Anyone else have a more strict grading scale in their school?? We have to get a 93% for and A and 85% for a B. Are your schools similar?

I go to a community college and I think my scale is 100-90 A, 89-80 B and 79-75 a C. I know for sure that less than a 75 is failing.

Our school:
93 - 100 = A
85 - 92 = B
80 - 84 = C
One thing that I find frustrating about all this is.... later when folks with the tougher grading scales compete with graduates of another school with a different grading scale....
I see that for some schools, 90 is still an 'A' and 80 a 'B'. So someone with my grades would have a higher GPA to apply with. Not really fair! Oh well.

I know! It's terrible! Our school prides itself in having one of the highest NCLEX passing rates in the nation. I think it's because they have weeded out everyone but the genius smart people. I hate it. BUT...I'm passing so far! I've even gotten a few As this semester. Maybe I'm one of the few who will make it? I hope so!

My school has a 100% pass rate most semesters and has had only one time in the past several years that it's been lower than that and it was still 98%. Our grading scale is nothing like yours. That does seem ridiculous.
Ours is:
A = 93-100
B = 85-92
C = 78-84

In my program:
100-93% A
92-83% B
82-78% C
Anything under a 78 and you are out. And they do round up your final grade but none of the test grades.

A = 100 - 93% B = 92 - 85%
C = 84 - 78%
You have to have a C or better to continue, so even though there is a line item for D, it's as good as failing.
Only the actual nursing classes and allied health classes are on this scale. A&P, Eng, Psych, Soc, etc are all on the A=90, B=80, C=70. Anything below a C would have to be retaken.

The grading scale for my school is: 96% is an A and less than 80% is failing. It is tough and there are always lots of tears after every exam! and just like many of the other posts, my school prides itself on the high percentage of students that pass the nclex.

She didn't believe that first semester students could get an A, so she refused to give them, no matter what
