Failing by 8% advice?

I am trying to figure out if I should withdraw from this semester.

My life is a wreck right now, I am behind on all my bills and never have time for family (husband and 3 children) doing chores around the house or even taking care of myself. Our semester ends early in May, and I think if I try harder I should be able to make up 8%.. right? The points are there, it is possible. Does 8% sound like a huge gap to make up for?

If I can make it through this semester then I would at least have summer off to get everything back together. Last day to withdraw is in mid-April.

It's not that the material is hard (where a tutor may come in handy) but there is a lot of it and we never know which parts to focus on studying. Our teacher doesn't lecture, it's self taught :/

If I withdraw, that sets me back a lot. I'm a "second career" nursing student so time is a factor. If I did W, I would try again in fall but it would change my graduation date from May 2019 to December 2019 :(

There is no way for us to know if you can make up 8% - you need to speak to your school. If you withdraw it does set you back, but what if you fail? How much further does that set you back from your goal?

Are there strategies at home that will help support you until you finish? Can someone help with bills and chores?

It all depends on how many points are left in the semester and whether or not you think you can achieve high enough scores to pass.

What happens if you fail the class? Do you get kicked out of nursing school or can you repeat it ? If I were you (and I have a similar background- husband and three kids, nursing as a second career), I would try to get my grade up and pass IF I could repeat the class if I fail. At my school you can fail once and go back a semester. I'm not sure what happens if you withdraw here, I've never heard of anyone doing that in our program.
