ASN program with a BS degree in MGMT

Hi all. Looking for people's thoughts. I am 48 currently in an ASN program and I have a previous BS in Management Science. With all of the discussion on requiring a BSN, how do hospitals view a candidate with an ASN and a previous BS degree in Management science? Will it be enough or will a BSN still ultimately be needed? Curious to hear people's experiences with this.

I completely understand that. I would need only 10 classes online to convert to a BSN. Was trying to gauge if it would be required.

Depends on where you are. This is often a regional thing. But if your future employer requires a BSN, then yes - you would have to get it done.

Some employers might find that combination satisfactory, most others probably would not. You can't go wrong with a BSN. There is no other baccalaureate degree that will benefit you professionally in nursing as much as a BSN. But the decision is up to you, and what you feel comfortable with.
