Anyone using Deaconess here

Sorry, I have never heard of Deaconess...just thought I would bump this thread up in hope that more people would read it. Hope you get the information that you need.

I am a Deaconess student. I am only in my first semester so I'm not too far along, but I should be able to answer some of your questions. What kind of information are you looking for?

I live in Illinois (Chicago area). I have yet to secure a clinical site. I will be working on that shortly. I will begin my clinical courses this summer. I am actually a little confused about how this portion of things works. I was told that I will get more direction in this in April when I register for my summer courses. What classes will you be starting this summer?

I received the Deaconess packet and haven't applied, because they're affiliated with Tenet Healthcare. I want to see how Tenet does (they're facing a federal investigation right now) before I give them my money. :eek:

I'm starting Deaconess in May. As far as the Tenet thing...the school has a 100-yr+ reputation that can withstand any problems Tenet may have.

Sooo true. Deaconess choose to be part of Tenet and they can choose to not be part if need be.

The reputation, which is excellent, was earned.
