I know that we are supposed to find out within the next couple of weeks, but I'm getting so antsy. I mean if I don't get in it this year, then I'll just apply next year when I know I'll get in.

I understand that some letters went out, I assume to those who either who had all the prereqs done, they would get an accept, and those who have next to nothing finished, and they would get a rejection at this time. The rest they are waiting on, I guess to find out how they are doing in their current classes.

So how are you all dealing with the wait?

I know how it feels ... with my school, we pretty much knew if we would get in for the next semester, but waiting for the letter was still painful!

The day I got mine, I opened up all of the other mail first and then sat and stared at the sealed envelope addressed to me from the college. I finally opened it and the relief was amazing ... then I called all my friends and family and screamed the good news! :)

HOpe you get your letter soon! I had to wait 5 weeks after I had my interview to see if I got in or not (and I did---yeepie!) Wishing you the best of luck,

Kay

yes I know what you mean......I was feeling really good about my chances of getting in but now due to budget cuts they have decided only to take 20 students this year out of 130 applicants....so I am not feeling too good about it. They have said we will know by june 1st. I took the NLN exam the other day and I am waiting for my score on that.....it was HORRIBLE!!!! I had a major headache afterwards. I should have thiose results in about 2 weeks........I am afraid to even check the mail!!!

I had a verbal confirmation from the nursing school in NY three weeks ago, but so far nothing has come in the mail. This would be for admission into their June 2004 (not 2003) program.

Since I am taking Anatomy & Physiology I/II here in Indiana, they asked me to send them the course syllabus for each class. Apparently, A&P classes are 3 credits at some colleges and 4 credits at others.

Both Ivy Tech Community College as well as University of Southern Indiana offer 3 credit A&P classes, and both classes have labs associated with them.

So I will get the course syllabus from Ivy Tech this week and fire it one up to NY and then wait for a decision.

Yes, it's all one big game.

Me too...I'm antsy....

I've been this way since before we were even allowed to submit an application. Now I have to wait another 4 or 5 weeks before I hear anything.

Best wishes to all those who are still waiting

and

Congratulations to those who have been accepted!

I am still waiting as well and I am going nuts. I hate not knowing. And here the applicant list is as much as 400 students for only 80 slots. So the competition is fierce.

cna on her way, I totally agree with you...it is the not knowing. I mean, if it isn't meant to be for fall 2003, then it will be for fall 2004, it is just the waiting. I also think that our applicant pool is close to what yours is with about the same amount of slots.

For my school they only go by our transcripts. Those students that have completed all of their prereqs by the time they apply get in first as long as they have a 2.0 GPA overall and a "C" in the science classes. Then it goes down the line. My GPA after 61 credits is 3.95, but because I am only know taking A&P1 ("A" expected) and won't be taking the last two until this summer (A&P2 and Micro), I may be pushed out. So everything that can be crossed is crossed.

Wishing luck to all who are waiting!

Me, too . . . waiting stinks

I *still* haven't heard form my #1 choice school.

The letters were supposed to be mailed out two weeks ago. No letter arrived, so I called last week and was told "maybe next week." A friend who also applied called and was told she'd hear "within five weeks"!

So we wait. I'd really just like to get this over with and *know* where I'll be in the Fall! I've been accepted at my #2 school, and I'd like to move forward with them if #1 doesn't work out.

Waiting is depressing!

I'm still waiting too... I just took the PSB Test (pre-admission test for our ADN program) and we won't find out how we did on that until we get our acceptance/rejection letter. Ugh!!! I want so badly to get into this program! I only have the words from my fortune cookie to comfort me..."You are soon going to change your line of work." :D

I still have till mid-June to hear back so I am not that antsy yet. I can't wait to hear something.
