Hi Everyone!!! I Am Planning On Becoming A Nurse And Just Started My Pre-reqs. Next Semester I Will Be Taking A&p 1 Which I Am So Nervous About And English 102. I Was Thinking About Getting Some Coloring Books Or Something To Give Me A Little Jump Start With A&p And Was Wondering If Anyone Had Any Good Coloring Book Suggestions. I Went On Amazon.com And They Do Have Coloring Books However They Dont Specify As To Whther It Is For A&p 1 Or 2 And I Dont Want To Get It And Work On It If It Is Mostly A&p 2 Stuff.
Also, Any Other Suggestions On How To Get A Head Start For A&p 1?

I didn't have any coloring books.
But what I did find helpful was taking a digital camera to labs and taking pictures of everything we were studying from.
Hope that helps.

I have AP coloring book I never really used it at all, there was enough to do with the text. If you know your book already get it, and they syllabus if possible.
Ditto on the digital pictures I took pictures of EVERYTHING and made flash cards for it all, it was such a huge help.

I also did nearly nothing with the coloring book I bought.
I think the digital camera thing is a good idea. Also, I forget the site now, but there was a website that had most of the anatomy models we used in lab online, so it was like having pictures of the parts. Pretty cool.

The coloring books helped me out with the cells, tissues and bones. I really didn't use it for muscles. But I plan on digging it back out for A&P 2. Oh and it went right along with how my class went. Sometimes I didn't understand the book and the coloring book described it different making it click.

Dont forget though that you won't be able to take pictures of the Cadavers for learning material. I picked up a few extra books at the bookstore that really are awesome.
I suggest:
Pocket Anatomy-A Complete Guide to the Human Body for Artists & Students by Christopher Joseph
I felt that it split up each section really good and you were able to follow it easier and be able to learn it faster.

I had one, but I didn't really use it. It also had review questions. Most A&P books (text, study guide, coloring books) will include all A&P, and not divide it up into 2 sections. So any book you get should include all body systems in it.

I got to Cerritos College and that website (with the lab models) is http://www.cerritosanatomy.com
I do have the Anatomy Coloring Book and I've used it in conjunction with the lab models for reviewing. But then, I just like to color stuff
