by minggusb2205 Aug 1, '10Please Advise. My one year old baby with 11kg of weight had fever for three days now. I gave him Progesic and Remedol but the fever stay at 38.8 just within 2 hours after consuming those medicine. In the third day the fever picks up to 39.4. So eventually, I gave him Voren or Diclofenac Sodium 12.5mg but I cut the bullet in half, I thought that full dosage is a little strong. After 3 hours, the fever subside to 36.0C and 36.2C. He has nightmare and perspire a lot. Is that normal???
I know that I can't use voren unless there is no other way. My doctor in fact advise me to give him full dose. Anybody with an advise what should I do when the fever picks up to above 39C.
I had a traumatic experience when my daughter had fever several years ago. her temp was 39.2C and she started to shake and her eyeball rolls back. It was until 10minutes before a nurse come to help. So I dont want this to happen to my son. Thanks... Please advise. I really need it.

- Aug 1, '10 by chloecatrnYou need to either call your doctor's sick line, or, if there's no one available and you're very concerned about this fever, take the baby to the ER. No one here can give you medical advice. You need to seek medical attention for your child in your location. Good luck.
