I interviewed for Med/Surg at IU on May 31st. I think it went well, and I would LOVE to get the job because my family lives close by. The hrs are Nights every third weekend

On June 1st I interviewed for a Med/Surg position

at Union Hospital in Terre Haute...The car I was driving broke down and I was stranded for 7 hours!! :angryfire On June 2nd I returned to Union for an interview with the Nurse Manager on the unit. The hrs are 3-11PM every other weekend.

Yesterday, I interviewed for a rehab position at Good Sam here in town. The hrs are 11-7 4 days a week. The one in town offers the least pay....because I am not an RN yet, I will start as a nurse extern.... pay is $11.50 + 10% for nights and 10% for wekends. It will go up to $16.00 when I get licensed.

In Terre Haute, it starts at $16.50 10% diff for evenings and 10% for weekends

At Indy... the pay starts at $19.50 +10% for nights and 10% for weekends.

I haven't heard a word from any of them. Of course the one in town told me they would decide by Friday or no later than Monday!

How long does it usually take after the interviews to hear back from them?

Thanks!!

Failure is NOT an option!!

I have no answers to how long it will take to hear from these managers, but I wanted to let you know I am praying you get the job you want.

I am still a student but one thing I have found effective is to write a follow up letter to the interviewer... thank them for their time, remind them of a few of your strong points and express interest in the position... I have found that this has worked well for me in the workforce b/c they are interviewing so many people it may be hard for them distinguish you from the rest, this will definitley help them to remember you.

Just my 2 cents... and good luck to you
