The Hessi test...

Hi everyone. My school has a new policy that really scares that crap out of me. It was launched a year ago...
In order for any of us to graduate, we have to take the Hessi test as our final exam at the end of our 4th semester. If we don't pass after the 3rd try, with a 78% at least, we have to repeat the 4th semester of the program the following year, and then may try again.
What can I expect from this test? What prep books, or ANYTHING for that matter should I buy?
I guess there are 4 people from last year who didn't pass and will be joining us when we start our 4th semester in January.
A 78% is the lowest C at my school. I passed 3rd semester with an 82% and I felt like my instructors frown upon any C student. They make it sound like "C" students don't do well with the Hessi or boards.
HELP!

I took the HESI on friday. I did not use any special stuff to study, mainly used NCLEX study guides and such. there is pharmacology, med surg, drugs, geriatics, mom baby, peds, your name it, it is on there, study study study.

It had 160 questions on it and took me over 1.5 hours to take it!

i graduated last fri and had to pass the hesi with a 90%....i studied by doing lots of practice questions... u can do it just prepare

I am only in the 1st semester of the nursing program & we have to take the HESI at the end of each semester. I am not sure as to what you will be tested on but I will try to tell you what mine was like. We had to score at least 850 to pass & we had 55 questions.Some areas covered were, med administration, math, basic nsg skills, cultural/spiritural, documentation, leadership, legal/ethical, nsg process,renal, resp.,integumentary, operative, endocrine, critical thinking, nsg intervention. There was alot of other stuff that I can't recall right now but maybe this will give you some idea of the areas to look at. I hope this helps & good luck. I think if you practice the nclex questions it will be of help if your HESI is anything like mine.We also had to take one in pharm & it had 55 questions as well.
