There is quite a bit of evidence that Intro Statistics is one course that is NOT recommended for online delivery. Online outcomes are significantly worse than classroom. This is because - unless you have a strong math background - interaction with the instructor makes a huge difference. Good Stats teachers can work with students in a variety of ways to help them understand all of the concepts & handle misunderstandings as they occur. They can alter the pace of instruction when students are "lost" or fading fast.
My very first Stats teacher was a character. He provided activities that engaged us in a way that was relevant. He was able to find examples for even the most difficult concept and measurement techniques. I recall one class period in which we focused on how shoe stores determine how many of each size to purchase... srsly. This was very interesting to the 90% female (pre-nursing) class - LOL.
My advice? See if you can locate a qualified, real life tutor. Keep an eye on your grade average, and if it looks like your're not going to do well - drop the course and take it again with a live instructor. A withdrawal will affect your GPA much less than a failing or very poor grade.
I just want to share this link because it is an incredibly helpful site and it got me through undergrad and grad statistics. Well worth the very low fee:

I am taking statistics online through straiterline, and it has been a nightmare. Does anyone have any recommendations for a student friendly online statistics class. I am not great at math, but I am willing to do the work.
