I'm currently a nursing student who is trying to achieve a Spanish certificate. A Spanish minor is offered at my college, but the nursing curriculum makes it difficult to complete the required classes. I was wondering if anyone knew of any ways I could achieve a Spanish certificate. I have some Spanish courses, but I don't know if they would be transferable. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

what is a Spanish certificate?

Specializes in being a Credible Source.

You don't need a certificate or degree, you simply functional proficiency with the language

I went to the hospital where I work and took the Clinical Interpreter Certification test; if you pass they will certify you as either normal or advance clinical interpreter. Maybe the hospitals where you are doing your clinicals offer this? Which state are you in?

I live in Pennsylvania, but I'm not sure if this do that. It would be great if hospitals here did.
