So stressed & confused!

The local community college near me requires a 70% on the TEAS to be granted an application to the bridge program. But I just found out last night that someone applied with an 84% & is only an alternate. I feel so defeated & I haven't even taken the test or applied yet! I was aiming for a score in the 80's but apparently I need to aim for a score in the 90's (the person said her friend that applied for a 90 on the TEAS & got in).

I'm super nervous about taking the test now & stressed. Before I felt like I could take the test, get a good score & get in. Now I don't feel like I can get a score that I need to get admitted. I don't know what else to do. I need to get a job because my husband can't support us on his salary alone.

I can't apply to any other schools because my sciences are expired & the college I'm applying to don't have a limit on them. I guess if it gets really bad I will have to retake ALL of my sciences. Ugh, what a headache!

Take a breath girl! 70% is the required score. It's not the only aspect of your packet they will look at!

Yes, that girl got in the 80s and she's an alternate, but what was her GPA, work experience, etc?

For me, prepping to get into a program was the scariest and hardest part. It was the part I had to really push myself mentally to accomplish. It's what made me wait so long to get back to school. It sounds like you're the same way.

Every time you feel like this, push that down, take a breath, and take some kind of action (buy a study book, make a study schedule, schedule the exam, etc).

Fake it til you make it and don't lose steam!

You got this!!

Oh, for the days before TEAS scores, "impaction" scores, and centralized applications. Straightforward without built-in roadblocks.

OC, take a big deep breath and do what you can to put all that other information out of your mind (easier said than done) and go in and rock the TEAS exam. Then wait. The school bases their decisions of gets in or who gets to wait based on more information than just the TEAS. You don't know any other background on this other person.

Now of for it!

I know. My GPA isn't great (probably 2.something, I haven't calculated it). My job history is horrible too because I job hopped because I was undiagnosed bipolar. So I never lasted at a job for close to a year.

It feels hopeless & pointless. I feel like I'm just wasting my time & I should just choose a different career.

I wish. But now everything is so complicated & there is a surplus. Ugh.

No, I don't know but her background can't be any worse than mine. That's why I'm aiming to get a 90% on the TEAS. Otherwise I don't think I'll get in.
