Hi,

I am curious.Tell me what area of CC you work, what state you are in,and whats your experience and rate of pay!

Specializes in Nephrology, Cardiology, ER, ICU.

I think if you do a search you'll find more information. It varies tremendously throughout the country. If you have a specific area in mind, you might try posting in the individual states' forums.

Specializes in NICU, PICU, PCVICU and peds oncology.

In Alberta, all nurses are paid the same base rate, with a premium attached for our highest degree. The maximum is $1.75 an hour for a doctorate, but I don't know too many nurses with PhDs who work in a union job... I make the same as any other nurse on Rung 7 of our nine rung pay ladder, CDN$30.41 an hour. I have six calendar years of PICU experience and two of intermediate care experience.
