Hi....just tring to get some insight into salaries in other states.I am thinking of relocating and would appreciate your insight/info.

1.what state are you from?

2.what area do you work in ..ex:ICU..ED...M/S...LTC etc

3.How many years have you been a nurse?

4.Are you happy at your job....ex: does the facility foster a cohesive environment....or is it a cut throat kinda place....where the pay is ok but the work atmosphere/environment sucks

5.What about Duke medical Center.....anyone got any insight on that hospital?:caduceus: :paw: :caduceus: :welcome:

1. CA

2. ER

3. 18

4. Very happy. The last place I was at was vicious. This place is much better, most people are happy.

5. No idea.

1. AZ

2. Nowhere right now. I have an offer to work telemetry, but I want to go back to ICU.

3. 21

4. I'll let you know when I get there.

5. I worked there in the 1980s. I liked it. I'm sure it's changed since then.

Duke Medical Cntr is the lowest paying employer in the Raleigh Durham Area of the Wake med pays the highest with the best shift diff available and weekend option. UNC is next for shift diff and pay availability. Of course there are many smaller hospital but they are ususally associated with one of the three larger hospital just noted.
