question about LPN to RN bridge programs

The only thing I can say is that there are on-line schools to do LPN-RN but some states won't accept those degrees (some do) and neither will some facilities. Just make sure that you actually go to a school to get yours so you won't limit your choices or waste your time. When I called University of Phoenix on-line they said they didn't even have an LPN to RN program because you have to do clinical work to get that. They just do RN to BSN. Good Luck! :)

I'm Anita and am new to the site.
I was hoping somebody could give me some insight about any programs available for lpn/rn. I am currently living in Tx and am moving to Chicago in the spring. Thanks!

Hi! Welcome to allnurses.com! If you are moving to Chicago, and THEN going to school....depends on where you are going to live. I did the LPN to RN/BSN bridge program at St Xavier University. A bit on the expensive side, but a good program; depends on what other classes you need to complete the degree.

try deaconess college of nursing in st. louis, mo. you have to do a certain amount of clinical sites and they also give you credit hours for previous experience, you have to take a transitions class which is basically a refresher course.
